 Selena Quintanilla Perez (Spanish pronunciation"se'lenakinta'nija'peres," 16th, 1971 - March 31st, 1995) Also known as Selena is an American Tejano singer. Her contributions to music and fashion made Selena the "Queen" of Tejano music. She is one of the most prominent performers from the Mexican-American genre of the late 20th century. In 2020, Billboard magazine put her in the third spot in their ranking of "Greatest Latino Artists of All Time", based on both Latin albums as well as the Latin charts of songs.
