Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Her modeling career started in Italy, where she was raised before being born in California. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted on Starship Troopers. At first, it was difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting. The reason is that most models aren't great actors. And they are usually only given small, insignificant parts. Amy persevered. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform more prominent parts. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been looking for since the age of 10. Amy worked on several of the most famous film productions, such as the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played a recognizable character.
