Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart started her modeling career in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure a part in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. Amy was unable to make the switch from modeling to acting since models aren't usually thought of as good actors. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy did her best to get noticed and eventually she was offered bigger parts beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. After a few years Amy made the jump to more prominent roles. Amy was in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major box office success and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been trying for for more than 10 years. Amy continued to make important films like Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved recurring part of the cast.
