Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actress director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of a British father and an Turkish-born mother from England. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Anna moved to Toronto in November 1999 to further her acting career. Then, she settled to Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at a Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her husband in 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism in the year before Seth Cooperman and Anna had been wed in the month of December in Fredericton.
