Zoe Saldana (born June 19, 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. The father of Zoe Saldana is Dominican as is her mother Puerto Rican. Her parents raised her at home in Queens, New York. Her family and she moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would stay for the rest of seven years. Zoe started to discover an appreciation for dance when she lived in Dominican Republic. At the prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy Zoe was taught ballet as well as other styles of dance.
