Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind allowed her to escape life's harsh reality. life. Parton was hired in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974 when her solo singles such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene beat out the collaborations.
